Which MLB team is gonna win it all this year?
MLB sports analysis Jamesbond586 has spoken on his pre-season power rankings
.) Cleveland Indians: Indians may be baseball's best team from top to bottom. They are young, talented, and looking to improve on a great season last year. They have one of the best pitching and fielding teams, and their hitting is getting a lot better.
.) Chicago White Sox: they have the best starting lineup and one of the best hitting teams. With a starting pitching staff led by Garland and Bheurle, who avg. 3.35 ERA and Konerko as a clean-up hitter, this deep team will make another great run.
.)St. Louis Cardinals: Whats there more to say? A very deep and talented pitching and hitting lineup, they return the bets pitcher and hitter in the NL. They will most likely represent the NL in the World Series.
.) New York Yankees- Another amazing Yankee team returning the 2nd best pitching staff in the country and possibly the 1st or 2nd hitting lineup, they will def finish 1, 2, 3 in the AL and win the AL East.
.) Oakland Athletics: This is a stretch, but their young players are maturing and their offense will most likely carry them. If they can get a deeper pitching staff, look for them to go deep.
.) NY Mets: Another stretch, but they have the best pitching staff in the NL East with Pedro Martinez. Their offense is led by maturing Beltran and Wright.
.) LA Angels: They need a lot of help for offense and their pitching staff will have to step up A LOT, if they want to finish this high. Look to get Geurrero some offensive help and a lead off hitter and they'll be a strong offense.
.) Atlanta Braves: They will probably rival the Mets for 1st place, but will come in 2nd for the 1st time in 15 years. They have a great offense, but need some pitching help. They will most likely get the Wild card.
.) Philadelphia Phillies: What an good offense they have now. If they can pull their pitching staff together, they'll make a lot of heads turn with more success than '05.
.) Toronto Blue Jays: They will have a great pitching staff and if their batters mature, they'll finish 2nd in the AL East.
.) Boston Redsox: This team is going to go down hill this year. They have many gaps in the IF and OF and their pitching is very old. Look for them to rival the O's for 3rd place in AL East.
.) Milwaukee Brewers: Wow, where to start. Their pitching is getting better with Ben Sheets(3.3ERA), but if they can get a better offense, they'll have more success than last year.
.) Houston Astros: If they can heal Bagwell and bring back and rejuvenate Clemens, they'll finish above 500, but Pettitte will ahev to step up along with their offense.
.) Marlins: They still have a few talented players left, but their team will be led by their pitching and Miguel Cabrera...
.) Nationals: They got Soriano, who was a great offensive asset to Texas, and if the Nationals can get him to play OF, the Nationals will rival the Marlins for 3rd place. Their team is maturing greatly and look for them to finish above 500.
.) Minnesota Twins: What happened to this team? They went to the playoffs in '04 and then had the worst offense in the AL. This team is talented with Johan Santana and maturing Mauer and Morneau. They need to make a move fast and improve their offense.
.) Baltimore Orioles: Coming off a good start in '05 and then the off-field controversy destroyed their season. Luckily thats behind them, so look for them to contine their offensive success with Tejada/Mora/Roberts leading the way. Their pitching is maturing, but they need to add talent. If they do, they'll jump up to maybe 13th.
.) Giants: If Bonds can heal and get over his steroids, then maybe he can lead this team back up. But 1st, they need to add offense and pitching.
.) Diamondbacks: They need a lot of help. They have maybe 1 good batter in Glaus and they need a lot of help in many areas.
.) Detroit Tigers:........They need to make a lot of trades and rebuild their team.
.) Texas Rangers: They have a good offense, but they need to improve their pitching.
.) Chicago Cubs: They have a decent pitching and offense, but they need to make a lot of trades.
.) San Diego Padres: They won the NL West, but the NL West sucks. They got rid of Phil Nevin, but didn't get much in return...
.) Tampa Bay: Their team is still young and maturing, give them some time.
.) Pittsburg: Jason Bay along won't help them...a lot of work is needed.
.) Mariners: they have 2 good batters and a couple good pitchers, not much going for them.
.) LA Dogers: If Gagne is healthy, look for him to continue being a great relieving. They added Garciaparra, which is good and look for continuing success from Furcal, Drew, Lowe, and Loften.
.) Rockies: These last 4 teams have nothing going for them
.) Reds
.) Royals
